Energy Edge Swords & Spears Energy Edge Weapons, often shortened to E-Edge weapons or E-Weapons, are a large departure from their medieval counterparts. Their "blades" have no cutting edge, and consist of specially shaped fiber optic materials, and their handles feature plasma cores and accelerometers built into them. When swung or thrust, a powerful laser is directed into the fiber-optic blade, swathing the weapon in a plasma that burns through whatever the weapon strikes. When unpowered, an E-Weapon deals only 1+POW bludgeoning damage, but when powered an E-Weapon deals it's listed damage as plasma damage and uses 1 heat per attack. Energy Edge Weapons can not have contact upgrades. The E-Edge Swordbreaker functions as a parrying dagger. Designed to catch around an opponent's weapon and destroy it, most of it's energy is directed to this effect. When making a sunder attack with it, it gains 4 additional damage dice.
